What is LaStone® Therapy?
Mary D. Nelson is the founder of La Stone Therapy and is a pioneer in research and development of Geo-Thermo-Therapy, a technique that utilises the application of hot and cold stone to the body. Mary has been researching and developing LaStone Therapy since August 1993.
Mary incorporated the techniques that she was exploring regarding balance through the energy systems of the body, and today we now refer to this combination as LaStone Therapy - a contemporary approach to alternating temperatures on the body through the application of stones in massage modalities.
About Jacqueline Docherty
Having gained a BA (Admin) at Paisley University and HND in Beauty Therapy at Clydebank College over 20 years ago, Jacqueline went onto pursue a career in the beauty therapy industry, and then on to lecture at Cardonald College, Motherwell College and James Watt College, Kilwinning.
In 2006 she qualified as a LaStone Therapist and, bearing witness to the therapeutic properties of the treatment, now makes LaStone Therapy Massage the only focus of her work.
For self development purposes, and to ensure the highest quality treatment, Jacqueline successfully completed an enhanced level LaStone Training Course in Edinburgh in February 2010 and Module 1 of Deep Stone Massage in Essex in June 2012.
